Full House

When I was reading about calculability I immediately thought of the episode on Full House were Jesse took Danny's really nice car to get fitted seat covers for his birthday and he forgot to leave it in park or something and it when off a bridge. Then I thought that probably happened in a lot of sitcoms. Also, on That 70s show they go on camping trips and something goes wrong. Just like on Friends. This shows that it is easy for people to almost steal other people's ideas and use them in their show. These ideas never get old though. Then again, we must think, how many ideas are there for tv shows to use? I think The Office does a good job of using original ideas and the show is really funny. thanks!!

Arrested Development was a funny, unique show. Critics gave it good reviews but it wasn't successful enough to make it. It ended early after three seasons. Did it not play well to the lowest common denominator of the viewing audience?

Recurring themes in sitcoms are plentiful:

* Wacky birth episode at hospital ending in touching moment
* Moving a sofa up a flight of stairs

Can you think of more?
